Sisas, mi veci.
workshops, performances and installation at FLORA ars+natura gallery, Bogotá, Colombia


The project consists in the creation of a rap band constituted by the elderly inhabitants of San Felipe neighborhood which is rapidly becoming the new art district of Bogotá.

The song lyrics - written by Arci - are based on interviews about how they are living these changes from their childhood memories to the impact of gentrification in their everyday lives.

The participants where invited to take part in a public performance where they sang the rap songs on a karaoke format. For this occasion, I produced 24 blue caps stating “sisas, mi veci” which were distributed among the participants.

The performance took place at the Gabinete of FLORAars+natura.
